Is it a Yamaha? If so, they used to use a plastic trim cam that were notorious for breaking. They since have changed the design and are building them out of aluminum.

That rule did have something to do with it, obviously it made it a little more difficult for John to get on the lake then the rest of you guys. But John has also never been on the lake before, he had arrangements to use another boat for the tournament but some other circumstances kept him from getti...

Cool. I know some guys rave about the stuff (Sunline in general) including Nick, and his brothers Adam and Andrew and his pops. I think a lot of people think its the greatest, then myself and a few other people I know have had miserable experiences with it. Nick could sell me on it again I'm sure :).

For the money the Triton Tr196 can't be beat. You get a high quality, completely finished off Triton boat with a 200 Optimax for well under $40,000. That will leave you a lot of money to spend on rods and reels. This one is currently marked way down... http://www.aimmarine.com/AquaBoss2UB/aq-show.ph...

That won't keep it from being an official record. You cannot INTENTIONALLY foul hook a fish. But just as with tournament rules, foul hooking a fish due to the fish's bad aim is perfectly fine. The issue if its a swimbait will be the hook system hes using...theres a fine line between a legal and ille...
