I called San Joaquin County to find out why I didn't get an unsecured tax bill. They said that my 1996 Nitro was valued under the amount that they tax. After many years of paying the tax, I felt like I just found a dollar in my pocket.

I have a lower unit from a 1991 175 Mercury that I was using on my 1996 200 EFI (2.5L) Mercury. It works fine. I blew my powerhead. Contact me if you need a lower unit for one of the 2.5L Mercs (135-200 V6). Make me an offer. I'm in Manteca.

Desal should be where the coastal cities get their water. As far as raising the salinity near shore, it's not as big of an issue as one might think. There are some environmental arguments about the brine from the desal plants raising salinity near shore, but we pump tons of fresh water from wastewater treatment plants, over a billion gallons a day in California, and surely the brine could be blended with all of that treat...

It's a tough time to sell a boat right now. If the price is low enough, a lot lower than what NADA says, it will sell. The problem is the number of used boats on the market right now. It's definitely a buyer's market for boats.

Dobyns and Martens are off the hook. Those guys have to be the most consistent anglers in the world. It's not very often you can predict someone will be in the top 5 in a major tournament, and be right almost every time. Way to go guys!!!

in some cases I agree you get what you pay for, but when $300+ rods cost $30-$50 to produce I dunno....
