Bullards bar

Hey all.

It looks like bullards bar is one of our lakes here in NorCal that is still kind of full, website says 67%. 646,000 AF out of a full 966,00 AF.... Anyone knows how to equate this to how many feet the lake is down?

Any help would be appreciated, tight lines!

Re: Bass Club looking for boaters

Hello fellow anglers and bass fishing family: Are you a competitive person who enjoys the challenge of figuring out “the bite” every trip out, no matter the location? Do you have a boat, and want a co-angler to help offset the cost of our expensive hobby? Are you struggling to catch fish? Would you...

Re: Lipless crankbaits in the fall

Seems like for me the Motherlode lakes get tougher in the fall. The fish spread out so much and can be found at all depths. I have got onto them in the past in the backs of major creek arms. The fishing can be hot for a few hours and yes you can get em on lipless cranks. Just let the bait sink to t...

Lipless crankbaits in the fall

What's up fellow bass anglers? Wanted to talk lipless cranks/traps in the fall for California... I know we all love them late winter into prespawn when the wateris cooler! But, what are your guys thoughts going into fall when the bass make a move and are chasing bait? I've been getting on the patter...

Re: Frog Rods specific to the delta

We have tons of guys using the Champion 735C for frogging and it's very versatile for many Delta techniques. But, we also have tons of guys using the Champ 736C and in my opinion it's the best frog rod ever made. If you'll look around at the tournament boats on Delta you'll see this rod many times....

Re: Frog Rods specific to the delta

I use the shimano expride 7’3 xheavy. I’m 5’11 i can’t twitch the rod pointed down or it’ll touch the water but I can point the rod at like 7 o’clock and work the frog perfectly. I like the expride cause it’s super light so I don’t get tired froggin all day. It has plenty of horse power to rip them...

Frog Rods specific to the delta

Alright men, Want to know your specific favorite frog rods and setups for the California delta... I have used quite a few frog rods over the years, and have a few favorites, but am definitely open to feedback! Keep in mind, I’m shorter, only 5’10”... I’ve always liked the old Powell Diesel 765 MH Ex...

When to transition from Delta to Lakes for bass

Hey y'all, I've been out bass fishing on the delta about 5 times in the last 2 to 3 weeks. The bite seems to be progressively getting worse for both numbers and quality fish. Still getting a little top water, chatterbait, and punch action every trip. But just getting 5 keepers is becoming tougher wi...
