There are many different types of cylinder tops and bobbins or pills. Make sure you get the right one for your model vest. If it doesn't match the one that was in it, then you need a different one.

I had oil bath hubs that leaked. All I had to do was put new grease seals on the back side of the hubs, pack the bearings with grease, and install bearing buddies and grease them up. No issues since.

Muck or bogs. You can step into the lake to hook up the boat and still be dry. I like leather and gore tex too but they absorb water on the outside and will get cold.
