Thanks, maybe the only way to truly do it right is to be on the water when adjusting. I was hoping I could look up the current water level online then simply adjust accordingly before I got there.

I just downloaded the Humminbird iPhone app and installed the New Melones map. The cdec website shows Melones' elevation is 1135' and is currently at 1054'. So if I set the offset to -81' I know from being there that it is not correct. It should be more like -30 or so right now. So , what number is ...

I just mounted my new Maxxum and when in the stowed position the head is pointing down and out towards the water which causes the cables to go way outside the boat then loop back in to the foot control.
