Re: Your favorite go to jigs
3 come to mind. #1 Keitech football jig. Almost always have one of these tied on. Caught more fish on these than almost any other bait. #2 For bulkier (anything over 1/2 oz) jigs I like dirty jigs. #3 Ive really been impressed with Beast Coast jigs lately. I like their colors, their hooks, and theyr...

Glory Hole Sports to close down for good
I know they were trying to sell it but it looks like due to increased rent and not being able to extend their lease past 5 years or getting a promise that they would keep the gas station there its not feasible to sell any longer. So it looks like their last day will be August 20th. Just wanted to gi...

Re: Blowout Sale Dobyns
Anyone know how to get a hold of someone from Dobyns? I bought a rod and the email with the tracking info got deleted. I thought it was supposed to be delivered last Thursday and I'm concerned someone yanked it off my porch. I tried emailing them and using their contact box on their website but have...

Re: Results from 06/19 River Rat Tournament on Tulloch?
My partner had a pretty good night on Wednesday fishing black creek and we thought we could use that same pattern but for whatever reason they must've moved deeper. We should've tried to adapt but the night bite out there is usually great and we were counting on a couple spots that almost always pro...

Re: Results from 06/19 River Rat Tournament on Tulloch?
"Fish" Andrew and his partner won it with 20 and change. I think 2nd place had a little over 16 lbs and third had about 14.5 lbs. Thanks. We ended up leaving before the weigh ins so I was curious to see if it was just us who had a tough time finding the bite or not. Looks like it was just...

Re: Looking for help on pricing a boat
Can you elaborate on what the issues are with the motor? Sounds electrical in nature if it’s ignition so the engine itself may be fine. Now is a good time to sell as there is barely any stock for people to buy so you may get lucky.... I would start with your break even price and go from there but e...

Re: Looking for help on pricing a boat
You left out a few details, such as the size of the OB and what electronics it may have. You have $6,000 in a 33 year old aluminum Tracker ..... that has mechanical issues and is not running right. Nobody cares about what the carpet looks like if the boat ain't running. If the boat is running decen...

Re: Looking for help on pricing a boat
I would take it to a reputable shop that has lots of experience with the brand of outboard you have. Pay them $100 to go through it and advise you on how much it will cost to make it run correctly. At that point you can either pay to fix it, so you can get the maximum price selling it or you may de...

Looking for help on pricing a boat
A while ago I purchased an 88 tracker from someone on Facebook mkt place. I should have had a mechanic take a look at it beforehand but I felt like I could trust the guy (my mistake, a valuable lesson). I went in knowing there were issues but not to the actual extent. Anyways I had a mobile mechanic...

Re: I see T.W. has added....
I will give them props on their customer service though. I made a small order (like 70 bucks of yamamoto soft plastics) on the 12th and checked on it to see it wasn't going to get sent until the 30th. I messaged them on instagram to cancel the order and they cancelled it with no questions asked. I w...

Re: Goodbye for now, Tackle Warehouse
It's was good pre-pandemic, but now, I've been little frustrated with turnaround times. Perhaps I got spoiled with their old way of doing business. Usually, after a weekend of fishing, on the following Monday, I could make an order from TW, and like clockwork, I'd get it, sometimes the next day and...

I've stopped ordering from them. I try to do most of my business with thehookuptackle.com. They carry most of the stuff you need and still have free 2 day shipping for orders over 50 bucks that actually gets there in 2 days.

If it has a kill switch, check that. Can’t recommend a mechanic in the area but you can read this to give you an idea to help isolate/troubleshoot the no spark issue: https://www.cdielectronics.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/02/CDI%20Troubleshooting%20Guide%20-%202012.pdf Good luck! Need help finding mechanic to work on old 2 stroke in Central Valley
Hey guys I bought an old 88 tracker (with an 88' 70hp 2 stroke Merc) off someone from Facebook and shortly after the engine started giving me problems. I had a mobile mechanic come over and take a look at it 4 or 5 times and we could never get it figured out. At this point the motor is not sparking ...
