Re: What's the best size jig for deep water bass?
The answer depends on several other factors, including what type of jig you want to use, and the strength of your line. I like to use 1 oz to 1 1/2 oz football jigs for deeper water. Here's an article with a nice jig size chart that may be helpful to find the right jig sizes: https://sportfishingbud...

Re: WWBT Goes Back to Clear Lake!
I second the idea of a catch, record & release model at this time of the year. It's not as exciting as a live weigh in, but a thousand times better for the health of the bass population.

Re: Windy Wednesday Nighters Week 6
Awesome result guys! Did I catch that right - you prefer glass rods to new composite ones? I've been finding that the glass rods help both with setting the hook and keeping fish pinned during the fight. But it seems everyone has a slightly different take on that.

Noice! I love topwater blow ups - most exciting part of the whole season.

Re: Pending World Record Sunfish caught at Havasu
A panfish over 6 pounds is incredible - congratulations to Mr Garchione!. But it does look like the big panfish from Lake Havasu suffer from obesity related issues...
Re: O M G
Glad to hear that - it's actually pretty impressive, given that most tackle retailers are having problems keeping up with the demand.

Re: Delta's emergency drought barrier on the West False River
Sounds like a desperate move. They haven't improved the overall water management situation, and now that things are getting worse they'll do anything just say they are taking action. Can't wait for Newsome to be out of office.

Re: Goodbye for now, Tackle Warehouse
There seem to be major supply chain problems for most of the big retailers, so I'm guessing it's not TW's fault. A lot of the tackle that was easy to get until last year is out of stock a lot of the time in many shops now. Might be good to order important stuff in advance.

Re: Topwater Rod?
The Dobyns Fury is definitely my go to choice when it comes to walking the dog type lures like spooks. St Croix Avid 6'6" is another great option, and IMO works better with bigger lures.
