Re: Is tournament bass fishing still considered a sport?
exactly, you make my point. someone must put in the time. you can’t buy your way into delta success. it’s not an advantage, they sacrifice other things to fish more. then on top of the fishing you must be keen on the nuances which separate the sticks from the joes. I’ve fished the shoulder of peopl...

Re: Is tournament bass fishing still considered a sport?
It should go back to 2d sonar and GPS. I outfitted my rig with livescope and it took the excitement out of fishing for me. It’s very easy for me to locate bass with it.

Re: Is tournament bass fishing still considered a sport?
Most of the top anglers on the delta fish it every other day. Not all of them tho. I know this because I see them at the launch all the time. Is that really a skill, or an advantage?
Doesn’t sound like a level playing field.

Is tournament bass fishing still considered a sport?
Seems like with YouTube and livescan anyone with the funds can be a pro angler. The learning curve has dramatically shorten recently with all this new technology IMO. A friend of mine won a major bass tournament last year and the guy only has been bass fishing for two years. He finished very well in...

What are the Chinese backed liberals going to complain about now? lol let me guess, not enough funding for all of the homeless illegal aliens they recently just let in.
Re: New boat
I wasn't talking about new boat prices because they will never go down. I'm talking about a 2020 may be had for half price in the next couple years. Everything is going to go stagnant starting this year. $7.00 dollar a gallon gas was predicted a couple months back. I thought no way because that wou...

Quit making sense, you're going to hurt some of the lib's feelings if this just happen to resonate through their warped brainwashed minds. They may even figure out only two genders exist as unbelievable as that sounds. One of the problems with the global warming theory is that they didn't have any ...

Build back better. I think you should take a break from all the political stuff. People have different opinions and it isn’t pleasant to read. Get outside and wet a line! Sadly that’s true. Nothing about our blue leaders is pleasant One can’t afford a 2x4 these days. How can you build a boat? Build...

Re: New boat
Thanks for all the comments but maybe I should ask the question differently Do you think we will have water to fish in Ca mother lode / delta for years to come or is it going dry This drought isn't near as bad as the five-year drought we had not too long ago. The sun evaporates water off the ocean ...

Re: Is Social Media Ruining Fishing Spots?
It sucks for anglers who have worked hard and learned a fishery when someone on YouTube who wants to get a little free product puts it out there for all to see. Most people don’t want to work at their game and just want to be spoon fed, so they gobble it up. Unfortunately, I don’t believe the “look...

Re: Flw. Clear lake.
The big fish in Clear Lake are definitely gone ! they normally show up in late winter early spring !but never showed this year ! the largest factor we noticed is the people who pack their fish around all day in their livewells ! I know this is normal tournament procedure, but when the fun fisherman...

Re: 519 or 520? And why?
I asked this same question a couple months ago because I was shopping for a newer boat for pro am's. I tried a bunch of different boats and ended up buying a Bass Cat Caracal on Facebook. The Caracal is competitive with the 20' footers in the ride category and ran better than some of the 20' footers...

Re: is a 19ft boat fine for the bigger pro am's?
With the water disappearing before our eyes and lack of places to launch larger vessels increasing, you may want to look at getting a kayak and fish the trails that offer kayak versions... Good luck! The five year drought was much worse. Watch it rain its *** off this winter. I'm pretty much decide...

I'm taking a hard look at the Caracal.cww300 wrote:My buddy is running a bass cat caracal, and says it rides better/dryer than his old 20 footer in rough water. Plenty of storage and he is getting low 70s out of it. You should check that model out.

Re: is a 19ft boat fine for the bigger pro am's?
If money and space aren't a problem then I'd go to the 520. The added deck space, better ride in rough water are well worth it. You'd do alright in a 519, but you'll do it more comfortably in the 520. I've had a 519, 520, and now a 205. Wish I still had my 520 !! Thinking I might just bite the bull...

is a 19ft boat fine for the bigger pro am's?
Getting ready to upgrade my boat and I am going to start entering bigger tournaments like Wild West Bass, WON Bass ,and MLF. I've ran a 481vs in the federation for along time now and its treated me well. I feel like a 520 would be a waste of money for me. I always take out the tackle I'm not using a...
