Used, Black in color. Made for a model 520. It may fit other models as well, but I'm not sure. This is in very good condition as it has had little use. no scratches or tears.

Line is another part of the equation you don't want to cut corners on.
For me I use suffix 832 braid with a 6' leader of 20lb. Tatsu fluorocarbon,
Learn any version of the Albright knot for attaching the leader. I'm still on my first 200 yard spool of tatsu from this January.

Powell 765 SBR. 2nd choice is a Powell 764 endurance. 765 SBR is actually my favorite rod period because of the super forgiving tip that lets the fish get its head turned before it realizes its in trouble, and then the back bone drives it home. Kramer hit it on the head. braid to flouro leader. Try either the Seaguar Kanzen Braid in the 10 or 15 lb or Suffix 832 in the 6 or 10 lb. for your main line learn the albright knot on you tube. Then its Seaguar Tatsu all the way for your top shot leader. The stuff is bullet proof. It is the best li...

If you like the rod then I would just follow the directions on the website. Send Keith a letter with what happened. He is more than fair and stands behind his products. FWIW.....It is not "a lure". It is a "rig" or means for attaching a bunch of lures and or attractors.
If you remove all of the "lures" from the "rig", you don't have anything but a fancy looking cooking utensil.
I'm just sayin'
