Greg, I don't think the state cares about the fish one bit. Their concern is the money they will have to pay to clean the mussels that clog pipes and pumps. It's money they are worried about and nothing more.

When making long casts it's always going to splash down hard. The bait weighs what? Like 5-6oz ? It's a huge chunk of rubber. Seems to me if guys are worried about getting paid by the ams they should just go ahead and not fish draw tourneys.

I of couse always pay my own way in everything that I do, but I don't know if it's right for a pro to expect anything from the am in a draw tourney.

It seems easy enough to make sure a little car topper is clean and dry, maybe small vessels will have to get inspected upon entry every time. That's the only way it could be, since you can't prove they weren't launched in infested waters.

The sticker or barcode thing isn't going to work. How can they prove that your boat has net been launched at a lake with not staff to scan your sticker or whatever? They can't. There are a ton of lakes I can go to where there will be nobody there to inspect my boat, scan a sticker or even know I was...

Flouro on a Spinning reel is what I use for weighless senkos. I also don't like tossing light baits on a baitcaster. I'm just far more accurate with a spinning reel with lighter baits.

I use flouro for basically all my plastics. It gets down better and the feel is much better.
