over night boat storage on the Delta
I'm coming from Willows to spend a couple of days on the Delta. Ideally, I'd like to fish one day, leave the boat and trailer, drive to San Jose to see grandkids and return the next day and fish before heading North. Any places where I could return and everything would still be on the boat? Any help...

Re: Champion boat
I have a 99 Champion 187, the rough water ride is the best. only negative is the back of the boat storage is small. No way they are as tippy as an aluminum, but, you can feel the person in the back move around, my backseat partner weighs 240. I've fished out of a friends Ranger, on Clearlake, in 1 t...

At Clear Lake, I talked to the mechanic for Nitro, he was changing a trailer wheel bearing on the spare Nitro he hauls around. There were 7 Nitros, mostly Tritons and a few Basscats, don't know the actual breakdown.

Re: First time to Oroville
There are two exits off Olive Hwy. going East off Hwy 162. Signs will tell you, one goes to the dam, which has a ramp and the other takes you to Bidwell Marina. Water is rising, fishing is ok. Try reaction baits, small plastics and jigs

fishing has been slow, but, should be improving. There are campsites on both sides, the problem is, this time of year the lake is only open on weekends. Any rain and they close the roads into the lake. Before going call the Stonyford Mkt. to find out if it's open

Re: Towing long haul
good tire changing equipment!! I purchased a new F150, towing my Champion and had a flat on the trailer. Finally figured out how to get the brand new jack out of the cab, second crank it snapped leaving me on I-5 without anyway to change. Hydraulic jacks are not that expensive.

I've fished and hunted for 50 years. I no longer hunt, the pleasure attained by watching my adversary swim off, so we can possibly do it again, overrides everything. I find it sad that so many of the tourney fishermen, the one's that cut you off and dare you to say anything, will never understand th...
