Minnkota Maxxum 101 lbs 52" Shaft 36v Excellent Condition
I bought a Ranger a couple of years ago and it's time to part ways with some of my gear from my last boat. I carried this Minnkota Maxxum 101 lbs thrust, 52" shaft, 36 volt trolling motor with me as a spare/backup on longer trips, when I owned my Skeeter ZX225. I now have a Ranger and an Ultrex...

Minnkota Maxxum 52" 36 Volt 101 Lb "Newish" TM
I have a Minnkota Maxxum 52" 36 Volt 101 pound trolling motor that was a spare for my Skeeter ZX225. I've sold the Skeeter, so I don't need the trolling motor anymore. The Mount is still in a plastic sleeve and was never put on the boat. I wrapped the trolling motor in blue painter's tape, when...

Re: 2001 Skeeter ZX225 in Great Shape! Priced to Sell
How many hours on the engine? From my understanding, the 2001 Yamahas did not have hour tracking. Still, I just fish a bit in the Spring and again in the Fall. I'd bet that the most I've ever fished in a year was 15 days, in the past dozen years, and less than that in many of those years. So... not...

HDS7 G2Touch HDI Transducer Install Q
I am about to install a new HDS7 Gen2 Touch in my 2001 Skeeter ZX225. The unit comes with the HDI transducer, which I've heard works optimally as a skimmer (transom mounted) and "so so" as a through the hull transducer. I traditionally steered away from skimmer transducers, and am not even...

Folsom and Oroville Lodging Question
We're heading down to Cali next week (Wednesday). Will end up at Clear Lake, but we have a few extra days. Thought about trying Folsom or Oroville. Haven't fished either lake before (we always go to Clear Lake). Where are some good, bass-boat friendly (plug ins for batteries) hotels/motels near Fols...

Re: Clear Lake swimbait bite
I was there last week (before the most recent storm). Caught fish fairly shallow on a Smackbait swimbait rigged with a stinger. I used the 6.5 inch in the ayu color. Here's a link to find the bait I was throwing: ttp://www.smackbait.com/Ayu.html Use their stuff a lot now. Great, affordable swimbaits...

FLW at Clear Lake in April???
I'm heading to Clear Lake for my annual pilgrimage on April 24-30. The California Dept of Fish and Game's tourney list shows an FLW tourney on April 28-May 1. However, that tourney doesn't show up on FLWs website. Does anyone know if there really is a big tourney (whether its FLW or otherwise) durin...

Lodging Near Lake Shasta: April 16-18
Hello, I'm going to stop at Shasta for a few days en route to Clear Lake. I've only fished Shasta once, and have never spent the night near there. We'll get there Thursday night and may stay through Saturday night. Any suggestions on where to stay (w/ plenty of boat parking and plug ins). We prefer ...

Clear Lake Starting This Wednesday
Alright, I've got my hotel room, shakey heads, drop shots, rip baits, swimbaits.... AND A WEATHER FORECAST. Yech! I see that it'll be cool (cold at night) and cloudy when I get to Clear Lake. Although I love that kind o' weather, I've only fished it when its gorgeous there, so this'll be new for me....

Clear Lake April 18th - 22nd?
Hello, All. We're considering hitting Clear Lake April 18th - 25th. We've heard how hot the bite was a couple of weeks ago, but am curious as to how well you think it'll hold up into the latter part of this month. Still pre-spawn fish to be caught? Or, are they pretty much done? Many thx in advance ...
