Here is a link to a study done on barotrauma related mortality of FLMB in SoCal. FIzzing is only beneficial when done properly. They're not halibut...they shouldn't be on their side at the bottom of the tank after treatment.

the farther back and away from the main lake, the warmer the water, the more (and bigger) bass there were. At least that's how it was when we did removals of warmwater species from the keys 8-10 years ago.

No algae problems at DVL that I have seen. It may return but the lake is starting to stratify and they are not bringing water in so any significant upwelling which feeds the blooms shouldn't be an issue.

A year of closure will not "change" or have any appreciable effect upon a bass fishery. San Vicente was closed for about 10 years. After about day 3 following reopening it was the same as every other lake in SoCal.

Either trying for heavily stocked rainbow trout at the "aquaculture facility" that is Lake Dixon, or knew what the records were and was trying to break one or both records. Dixon isn't a crappie fishery.

Clear lake's water quality problems are MUCH more complex and bigger than spraying weeds. The aquatic macrophytes being sprayed are going to die off eventually at some point regardless making a fish kill an annual possibility even if spraying didn't occur.
