To save costs; for commuting to work went back to a motorcycle, mid 40's per gallon.
Boat has a 250, lunch near where I want to fish to cut down on run time and spend more time on the trolling motor.

Re: Another boat wreck
It sounds as if too much of the prop came out of the water. Similar thing happen to me twice. First time by myself run north above Tower Park around 65 going around a turn when the back end sudden fishtailed. The 2nd time was Clear Lake when I cross another bass boat's wake. Until it happens to you ...

Re: Clear Lake Tackle Shops
Limit Out in the Oaks, little store with lots of the latest tackle from the most popular manufactures. Shared information and supports bass clubs. Bob Higgins, the owner, has a wealth of information on Clear Lake and a nice and friendly too as is his better half Dorothy.

Re: What brand truck do you like ?
2007 Ford F150 with the 5.4 towing a cougar no problems going over the hills to Clear Lake.
Just made a round trip to Tacoma, WA averageing between 18-19 traveling between 70-80 MPH, not towing.
Great ride, quiet with losts of room and smooth ride. Give it a test drive.

looking for Vyper Spinner blades by Competive Edge Fishing
The tackle store I use to buy these spinner blades from no longer sells them. Unable to find. Tried internet under their logo Competive Edge Fishing without any luck.
Anyone out there, have you seen the Vyper blades on the market. If anyone has seen the product, please provide location. Thanks.

Re: Not at all
Gas prices has affected my fishing. I stay close to home, only approx. 1/2 from the Delta. And, when on the water I keep my speed down and if by myself I stay close to the launch ramp. That means roundtrip approx. 5 miles

Depth Finder
Sounds like the same exact problem I had, but with an X135 on the bow.
It turned out it was the transducer after all. It is was less then 6 months old. The original was mounted inside the hull.
