Re: What bait do you fish the Carolina Rig with???
Brush hog, baby brush hog, tiny brush hog, 4-6-8 inch straight and curly tail worms, lizards, smallie beaver, reaper, curly tail grubs. I think that covers it . C-rig is very versatile and will work with almost anything. Use Florocarbon on the leader that helps big time.

1-800-bassboat. I just spoke with Stan today, his quote was almost $200 less than my current company and has better coverage. I am switching as soon as my current policy is set to renew.

I have the same issue and am looking for the same. Here is what I do, I take another rachet strap and tie it down on across the front deck and strap it to the trailer. I take a second one and strap it across the back either just in front of or behind the seats and again to the trailer. This way no a...

I too was looking for good insurance and had seen a post on here earlier. There seemed to be two big winners from most of those post. One was 1800bassboat and the other was fish on insurace. I called both and got comparables and 1800 wanted about $60 less per year but was only providing $2500 in re...

I use Centennials. Dry cells. had them three years and no issues. They charge properly and show no signs of fatigue. I also keep them on the charger when the boat is not in use.

I have heard as well that they are going to DRAIN the lake lower than the low we had earlier in the year to "Flush the delta" Bet we have 5MPH before the end of July again. Hope all the spawners spawn deeper than normal so the beds are not high and dry like a few years back. 5 Spill gates ...

Insurance companies- Sawyer Cook vs. Fish On
I currently have Sawyer Cook Insurance but the rates went up and I heve never made a claim. I recently looked into Fish On insurance and found it to be $140 a year LESS for the exact same coverage. I am really looking at switching to Fish On. Can anybody give me some advice?

Better start doing your rain and snow dances or praying
The California Department of Water Resources did their 2nd water water survey today and they found we are only at 68% of water for this time of year. They estimate we need 12 FEET of snow in February just to get AVERAGE!!! Oh man, I don't know if there is any hope for Folsom, Oroville or Shasta. Del...

They have fixed both of my 2007 MG's with no question. If you have a digital model its 3 years. I had problems with MK before too. I have had both of my MG's leak water in the lower unit. Had to have them both replaced. Things just are not made like they used to be.

Hey there, I was just checking with those of you that have the Motorguide Tour Edition motors. I have two motors, both 07's. The 1st one had a water leak in the lower housing and had to be replaced. After this the transducer doesn't work properly. The second one took a crap today. The motor speed ca...

I have the 07' Triton SF211. Mine sits about 6" taller up front- I need a 60" shaft trolling motor vs. a 45" or 50". The back is a little higher maybe 3" and therefore it need a long shaft outboard. As for how deep the hull is in the water I have been in 2 foot of water and ...

What's with the bass at Oroville? They look very sick
I went fishing at Oroville today and caught several bass that had what appear to be sores on the entire body. There were several red wounds on then, white film on the eyes, like cataracts, and scales sluffing off. What gives? Is there a disease in the lake, if so, its really BAD! I caught fish all o...

Re: Cruise control while towing?
Mitch, what I meant is that I think it was due to hot brakes that the grease liquified. The hot brakes were caused by the serge brake kicking in while driving with cruise on

Re: Cruise control while towing?
Be very careful doing this. I was towing my boat back from Lake Shasta one time and used the cruise control. The cruise control slowed my vehicle on the downhill but there was no brake being applied so the serge brakes on the boat trailer would kick in. After several miles I noticed smoke comming fr...
