I don't have a tandem axel but I've helped out a couple of guys with flat tires that have tandem axels. I went to a local junk yard and got a scissor jack from a wrecked car for $5. It folds nice and flat, stores in my front tackle compartment.

Whoopbass, yes my partner and I had 16.5lbs for 2nd place. His son and his partner took 3rd with 14.37. We had a great night with a consistent pattern that i found in the first 30 minutes.

Look at Moon Lite, small but very powerful, plug into a stereo jack that you mount on your boat cap. Only problem is trying to order them as you have to go through a dealer as the do not sell direct.

How does farming effect Selenium? The same way it did on Kestersen Wildlife Refuge in Merced County. In the 1980's birds nesting in the Selenium laden waters of the refuge were found to have deformities also. Sea Lions go over 100 miles up the Columbia River and are being stopped by a dam where they eat the salmon and steelhead that are trying to figure out the fish ladder. Fish and Game officials there are starting to euthanize them.

For me it's the up close and personal style of fishing, flipping, punching and throwing frogs. I fish the motherlode lakes mostly and catching a 2 pounder on a drop shot in 40' is nowhere close to flipping into a tule clump with 65lb braid a big ol' hook and getting bit. :shock:

Second on Angels Camp RV park. Right across the street from Glory Hole Sports and entrance to the lake. Great people and nice camp ground. I usually stay in my RV but have had several friends stay in the cabins. Not sure if there is tent camping.

Taking my daughter to a farm pond when she was about 4 and smashing some giant crappies that I didn't know were in there. My son when he was about 7 catching a 6.5lb catfish, and last summer (now 22) him catching a 9 lb bass in a tournament for big fish and the win.

Make sure your transducer is centered when the trolling motor is deployed. Mine looked centered when stowed but was pointing to the left and would not pick up baits dropped down on the right side of the boat.

You have to be versatile to fish here in my opinion. You can drop shot fish in 50 -75' of water on our lakes or flip fish in 1' of water on the delta. If you are going to fish all the water California provides then adaptability is going to be key.
