Go and give Modesto Ambassadors a look. They are great people and always have a guest speaker at least once a month. They are willing to learn from each other and also teach. If I lived in the area I would give both a look but the people at Ambassadors are great.
Have fun and fish hard.

The best was Trojan SCS 225 but they are no longer going to make a marine battery. The next best is the AGM from North Star, but with that there comes weight. Ther are so many company's that are no longer making trolling batteries, for ex Trojan, Trolling Thunder to name a few. Then it comes down to...

Bassmike Buy the batteries and then resale them for more money. They do not have enough rc to run a 24v tm for the day. IF you were fun fishing on a pond and in a small boat with no graphs or live wells then theymight be OK. The HD M 24 only has 450 cca's and as most big motors they need 1000 cca's....

Mine is always charged with it still on the hook up. Make sure if you are running a wet cell battery that you use at least a 15 amp charger, and if it is a dry type then a 10 amp will do. PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THE TRICKLE CHARGE TYPE UNITS unless you like buying batteries.
