The north/south shortcut to Snodgrass slough is full of hazards. I would suggest going around Walnut Grove marina if you're planning on heading north. The slough to Walnut Grove from Wimpys is shallow at low tide but do-able.

The 3 n 1 transducer won't read depth on pad. I had to plug in my shoot thru hull 2D transducer for in to read depth on pad.

Steve 101, our club used the golden rule. Wasn’t perfect but for a club tournament, it was good enough.

I have used the Dobyns Champion XP 735 and XP 764. Prefer the XP 764 as it gives me leverage when I hook them in the slop.

Well, they tried to have the tournament today. Gnarly two flag warning conditions with 5-6ft rollers at blast off that caused two boats to capsize. No I haven't. I'm going to be looking for info from them around the second week of April. Getting excited. Catch the lake record in any of the qualifiers and get $1,000,000. Isn't that crazy?

First qualifying event was March 13th on Okeechobee. I didn't know the payout after 1st, which was $50k but wow, $25k for 2nd, $10k for 3rd, $7k for 4th, $6.5k for 5th and $300 all the way down to 40th which is the last spot to qualify for the TOC at Table rock lake. Wormin - Both Sunset Station and Boulder Station Casinos have electrical hookups on the 5th floor of the parking garage. These are the host hotels for the WON U.S.Open.

Maybe tournament organizations should require anglers to prove they have a fizzing tool or they will be provided one at cost to the angler. Another good idea is tournament organizations hand out fizzing instructions at boat check in.
