You don't seem to be too upset with the problems you had but I would guess that is because of the good fishing & catching.

Re: Bait Monkey affects others too
I was recently given a couple of BPS gift cards for a favor done. In preparation for a trip to BPS, I did a little inventory of my different bait boxes, line, hooks, weights, etc., to see what I might need. Are you kidding me? I need more? I will never use all that I have. I decided to hold the card...

I took my cousin Charlie up to Shasta and we fished 3 1/2 days beginning on Monday the 17th. A couple of good showers that afternoon but very cold day with best water temp at about 52 degrees. It warmed a little each day (air temp and H2O temp). By Thursday PM, we found some water temps up to 57. Fi...

The last time I needed new runners on my boat, I bought pressure treated 2X6's and then covered them with my old carpet which was still usable. That was about 4 years ago and they are still fine. I used a hydraulic jack to lift the boat so I could take the old ones out and put in the new ones. I am ...

I drove up there this afternoon and the water is still way down, no where near the base of the glory hole yet. I did notice though, that it looked like the water level was right at the base of their main ramp. Guessing it would have to come up three or more feet, or more, before they open that ramp.

Hay Mark, if you don't find what you want, take a cork from a wine bottle and drill a hole thru it the long way. Next make a cut down one side the long way, and then slightly widen that cut enough so you can slip your lanyard into it. Cheap float for a few minutes of your time plus you can drink the...

That is really bad news for Glory Hole and all the customers who have depended on them for fuel and gear, etc. I was wondering if there is any other sport/bait shops in the area. If not, I was thinking a new place in the area could be quite an investment seeing as how popular New Melones is for fish...

I did not realize what a Binky Bug was at the time but I learned from friends to make them myself. Yes, some great pics of your big fish, which proves you must be doing something right. But instead of just showing off your big fish, I am sure you could share some details of your catches without giving away secret spots - like general area of the state or country, baits used, time of year, etc.

They built that wall a few years back during a serious draught and later tore it down. I am sure it would be in the same place which was about halfway between where the West end of False River joins the San Joaquin and Fisherman's Cut.

Shasta fishing was crazy this year compared to most years . Between my partner and I, we boated 72 bass and one crappie in the 3 1/2 days. Usually we do that many for both of us in one day. Biggest was pushing 2 lbs. The crappie though was 14 1/2 inches and provided more meet and bigger filets than ...

You really don't need a regular bass boat. I got you by about 10 years now. I don't fish tournaments but I used to have a 17 ft Nitro.
