Ha! Well maybe this year there will be enough ocean food for them to not have to eat freshwater bass. We can only hope.

Alright Jiggin, you got it. Let’s ask folks how many serious bass fisherman including 100% of the pros actually use a SPINNING ROD for spinnerbaits and buzzbaits. The answer is zero. Hey, you asked.

Newsome is screwing up big time. Poulson are you trying to nitpick about who was the absolutely worst governor or what? Gavin has apparently no clue about how much water this state has. Here’s a great saying from John Collins, who invented the RP knot (he’s too modest to claim it under his own name) - “if you can’t tie a knot, tie it a lot”. Practice, practice, practice. And he’s talking about giant tuna, not little bass.

Yeah I’m also unimpressed with the Ultrex for shallow water fishing. Very noisy! Sure, if you’re a deep water dangler/dragger and wanna sit out in the wind on a deep spot for a while, yeah spot lock is great (I’ve used it on my ocean boat for many years) in that fashion. But for shallow water fishin...

Personally I think the most important factor is HOW you’re going to get back 8th your boat if you fall off. It ain’t easy! I don’t have room for a swim ladder on my rig. I jump in the lake every s9noften during the summer to cool off and test my ability to get back onboard. I step on the lower unit,...

Wow. That’s as bad as it gets. Anyone remember another tourney that went 0.0? I don’t. Casitas currently looks like the worst tourney lake in CA, maybe the US. Combine that with their ridiculous quagga protocol, and well…annual passes anyone?
Re: PH...
Lopez looks very similar this year to what your describing Rip. Massive schools of fry of all sorts, hovering around endless sources of shade and cover. Outstanding year for recruitment that’s for sure. The fish you catch of classic Lopez footballs. Cachuma apparently continues to fish tough.

Live shad is even sucking at Casitas. That’s how bad the fishery is this year. Most of the local, lakes are tanking this year. It’s actually not surprising, based on experiences from years passed when we got giant rains. It’ll improve.
