Re: house rental on clear lake

Ditto on the 'Fish Hook' in Lands End. Just got back Saturday from 8 days there, loved every minute of it. Split between 2 couples, it was very affordable. Most importantly, the Women were happy. Getting pretty shallow back there, if the water keeps dropping, not much left to float yer bote. But the...

Re: 100% BASS Announces Sweeping Changes 4 WRL & Team Fi

Time will tell how the new Tour will develop and grow. But, it will grow without any help from me. I'm not the caliber of fisherman this is targeting, and there is no WRL in my neck of the woods. Even the Top Stick Joes down south, while a good idea, would be another long distance circuit for us on ...

I don't know if this is an option, but, wish we could collect $ to send 1 or 2 anglers. Western Bass sponsered anglers at Amistad, awesome. I'm not wealthy by any means, but I can help some. This format was made for guys like Bassindon. Maybe this new nationwide concept is out of reach for many. ONE...

Tri Valley's is a split weigh-in with BBQ and raffle. We had 28 boats and winning weight (6 fish) was 29.95 by Roger Haas and Tom Wise.

Re: Titanium Vibe????

River 2 Sea makes it. I bought a couple at Fred Hall-Long Beach. It's just a little taller than an LV 500 and shakes a little bit less, also has smaller BB's making a more subtle sound.

Re: Cachuma Reeds, what are you fishing?

I'm fishing that tournament next week, and I need a decent finish to make the fish-off. Was there yesterday, and flipped for 5 hours and caught a double limit of 2 lb smallies. Not a keeper Black in the bunch! While fun, 10 pounds won't get it done. And if that bite goes away, I'm toast. I may not b...

Re: If you had one fish story to tell

Mid August of last year, my brother-in-law and I (along with our wives), spend 6 days at Clear Lake. Our first trip to that great pond, we had no idea what or where. On the second day, we start catching flip and frog fish like I could not have imagined. All in a 100 yd stretch of mats and stick-ups,...

Just got back from my first trip there, WOW! Best 6 days of my fishing life, bar none. Caught fish everywhere, dropshot/cranks/flipping. First trip to Clear Lake soon...

Going on vacation Aug 12th for six days, and staying at the State Park Campgrounds. Looking to extend our stay 2 or 3 days, but the area we are staying at is now booked. We can reserve in another campground at the Park, or, is their a nice place at another site I should check?

Thanks, Steve
