Re: Best warm and waterproof gloves for fishing?
I tried the some nitrile gloves last winter, but my hands just got wet with sweat in them and felt just as cold or colder lol. Are you nitrile/wool wearing guys not having issues with moisture build up inside the glove?

Re: G. Loomis Expediter service...
That is unfortunate you had trouble…. I just received my replacement G Loomis rod using the “expeditor” service last week. I had zero issues getting through on the phone the first time I called and the customer service rep was very helpful…. I never did warranty my rod nor did not have to provide an...

Re: Upgraded to HDS 8's Gen 2 Wiring questions
Remember to always use a fuse on the power (red) lead when running a new power cable to one of your units. I would use 10 or 12 gauge wire so you have plenty of juice. I am planning up a system like Ken was describing here. I read somewhere else that you should match the wire gauge when extending t...

HDS 10 gen2 vs newest versions?
I have been learning how to use the HDS 5 and 7 gen2 non touch units that came with my boat. Really having fun with them and am ready to get a bigger screen. I have the opportunity to get a really good price on brand new HDS 10 gen2 non touch. Any concerns I should have before I commit to buy? Shoul...

Tackle shops in Lakeport, KV casino is open late for 'inspection', or on down to Limit Out.
The gas station at the highway 29 cut off does not do inspections anymore

The weed spraying contracts are probably run just like the military !.. the more they spray the more they can apply for the next year!... it's a joke ' they could probably do the same job with a fraction of what they have sprayed this year !.... Re: Carpet Burns | One of the most controversial aspects of Major League Fishing
I think the rule helps portray a level of respect for the fish that is not shown by all anglers The ever popular 'swing a fish and drop it hard on the deck and have it flop around' is definitely not a good image for the sport. Especially if it adds another reason for any libtard 'fishing is cruel' f...

Maxxum vs Fortrex
There are not many current reviews out there comparing these two motors. Some of the older reviews for the Fortrex list a few issues within the mount. Im going to upgrade to an 80lb thrust Minn Kota for a 19' skeeter. When stowed how much higher does the Fortrex sit than a maxxum above the deck of t...

Re: Fees & Taxes for Used Boat Purchase
Interested in this info to as I am boat sopping. I think it is the same as a car. The buyer pays state sales tax on the purchase price. You could claim a lower selling price to DMV to avoid full tax payment to state as long as a bank isn't involved. The bank would report full price of at least the l...

Done :) What I am trying to understand is; how does killing millions of fish to save fish compute and make sense? Also, aren't Salmon migratory? Therefore, how does the bass population have a negative effect on the Salmon? I have fished the delta for many years and I have still yet to see a wolf pa...

Even just blue gravel and a some form of a blue background film may add the effect you are looking for.

I have the opportunity to score some gift cards. Eventually going to buy a new trolling motor or electronics. Is there much of a difference price wise between the two? Better historic sales? Better service? Any insight would be appreciated.

Unfortunately it is a tough place to live if you want to go bass fishing. There is no "local" fishery really. Ruth lake is a great lake, 2hrs away at the most. But now you have to pay $20 to launch due to bogus quagga inspections. I have not been there for years because it was a dink facto...

What type of fluorocarbon do you use when running it straight. Gets expensive and kinky if you get a backlash or two, or three...Mattlures wrote:I only use straight Fluoro unless I am fishing topwater. Then I sometimes use mono. The 6" Rising son is a very easy bait to get used to throwing. It is a bait that fishes high in the water column, so it has its limits. But throwing it like a spinnerbait around shallow cover will get bit on any lake.

Hey Buttafucco, Sometimes you just might have to put down the swimbait for a little while and throw those big worms! The other thing I was thinking that we used to do on Clear lake was find the moon shadows. Visualize your spots and fish where the bass can ambush from that dark spot. Your starting t...
