We've already experienced this up here. Lots of guys couldn't afford to run their boats, no less drive up here. There will be a lot more casting practice in the kiddie pool this year. I was watching one of the pros on TV talking about fishing slow and he mentioned he was making over 100 casts per hour..now in my way of looking at things, that just isn't fishing very slowly..So when you say slow and even slower, how many casts an hour are you making.. mac about four & a half....

can't be lack of 02, as carp can 'breathe' air....& survive in very low DO levels. Virus or bacteria, most likeky. Bass will eat carp minnows -when they're deep enough in the grass to find 'em. So will heron, osprey. It sure doesn't impact the population, tho... As was said earlier in the thread...

The new Stren Microfuse...also appears to only go up to 30#. Glows nice, & is the same 'fused' Dyneema as Fireline.
I use the 30# Fireline/Microfuse in some very rocky areas of CL with good success. More often than not, it's the fluoro leader that ends up frayed.

You can use any worm on it. Save yourself some money and get a bag of split shot and pinch it on whatever hook you want. I warranteed my MG, & the new one broke 2 weeks later.
Exchanged for MinnKota, which works just fine.
I'm sure the top-of-the-line MG is good enough, but in my ($5-800) range the MK was a better motor than the comparable MG.

I think berryessa holds more big fish than anyone really knows....i think once they start putting resorts on the lake there will be some tournaments and people will take notice I think BLM has a tournament fee on Berry now....will be a tournament deterrent for a lot of clubs who don't have the bone...

About the only thing they don't want to sticker is hip waders... The 'inspection' is a decision-tree which usually leads to a sticker without having to go through the boat. Those coming from designated risk areas should arrive 'clean & dry'. You'll get your sticker, no prob....IF they have 'em. ...

More of a finesse bite here lately, with the cold. Try a dropshot or shaky head. It's hard to fish a senko wrong around here, too...
Should warm up pretty good this weekend. If the water's clear, chuck a ripbait, of not, try a blade.

I'm with Stock on that skippin thing....much easier on a spinner.
