Why do people like diawa's over shimano's??? It's just like everything else, personal preference.

Thanks for the great info guys. I coouldn't find any good reviews on them. I'm leaning towards the 806ML, but also the 866H. Just don't know if I want the extra 6". I am a big guy, so I like the 18" handle idea. Thanks again guys.

I used the stuff from west marine. Don't know what it's called, just do a search on there website for carbet glue, it's not too expensive. I have no complaints.

I have found that the BBZ is good for locating fish. Whenever I fish the BBZ, I be sure to have a wacky rigged senko or some sort of plastic tied on so when I get a follower that doesn't bite, I can have something else to shove in it's face. I've had plenty of fish by doing this.

Good luck getting them at Galaxie, they have a LONG waiting list on the baits that. They still haven't gotten in an order. I know as of Thursday, they had some white ones that have been there for awhile.

I'm with bill, i keep it simple. Only bring out the baits you know you will use. I never bring out more than two rods with me. You might even think about buying a float tube rod holder. Have fun with it though... it beats shore fishing!!!

I've only been to Long Ravine (exit Colfax). They have pretty good facilities there. Use to go with friends to get drunk there on weekends. I know trout fishing is good, but I have yet to catch any lm, just a bunch of smallies up to 2 1/2. Good Luck
