I dinged and scraped up my prop pretty bad at the AC Shasta event this weekend and was seeing who you guys have worked with in repairing and refinishing props. Bay area to Clearlake

Anybody drive the route over the hill from napa to the town of clearlake on CA29? I have always come in from the other direction to Clearlake Oaks and Clearlake and was wondering how that road is with a boat in tow. If anyone could let me know if you have done it with a boat or if its too curvy that...

Make sure the excess spray when putting it on doesn't get on your electronics screens too. It will F them up big time.

Optima Battery Advice

Was looking for some advice on which Optimas to get. I am buying 2 new ones to run in my 18 foot skeeter. They will be running the TM only. I was at Costco today and saw they had the blue top deep cycles and the yellow top deep cycle combos. Any advice would be awesome. Thanks

Hands down they all work if you just put in the time and know how to fish them correctly. I have always been a SPRO guy and bought and fished my first Snagproofs for the Open last year. I practiced all week with SPROs and fished those same spots with the Snagproofs in the tourney doing the same thin...

ventura? Where did this come up? Just seems like a very unlikely place for a BPS. For Casitas they could stock an abundant supply of swimbaits and mosquito hooks for shad :)

Re: buying a boat

I agree....those are the type of boats that can become money pits. Take a look around and right now there are quite a few boats 10 years newer that are gonna be a good deal without getting into the 20k range of most of the boats in the 2000's. PM me if you're interested in a 96' skeeter 17.5' with a...

Just depends on what type of water your fishing with the tides. Here is a video from yesterday on the high tide in the morning but also caught about 8 others on the low just on different water.

Skeet specifically has said he has the two extra units for on the water back up in case of unit failure or transducer failure. I'd do it too if I could and $100,000 was on the line.

It sounds like you're dream is definitely not going to match up to the reality of hawaii sportfishing. Being a kauai local I know the system pretty well. The advice to fish the surf is the best bet. Ahi is very seasonal over there and if you do get one on a charter dont even count on tasting one sli...

yeah for some reason the shaft just got stuck in the down position but was still spinning. I pryed it a little bit and it came free then lubed that gear shaft. Started it up about 15 times throughout the day and was working fine so hopefully that's all it was.

I've gone through 3 pairs of Frog Toggs in the last 2 seasons. They keep you dry but just wear out and will eventually tear at the seams in the pants. The tops they make are way too short too so you always wind up with that wet mid section on your underlayers. I would suggest bumping up to the parka...
