Yea it's pretty steep for sure and I have only seen a handful of guys fishing it . My biggest there to date is pushing 9 lbs . Did you leave the box of lures out ? Is your deck lids insulated on your boat ?
All the deck lids on my champion are insulated even in the hottest months of the year the lockers never get hot , just a thought maybe insulate the kids and it will fix the problem .
