Thanks for the WWBT Turnout!!!!

Awesome event with 181 boats. Thanks to all that came out and played. Shasta once again proves to be the turnout record holder. It's always the bigger playing field. Oroville had 167 Boats and with all the flooding and water problems going on there was no chance Shasta would be dominate this year. S...

This is terrible. With all the Oroville issues. I had no idea Clear Lake was this high and in this bad of shape. This totally sucks for Clear Lake residents. I imagine they're having issue in Keys as well. I know the wind is hurting Lakeport. Totally sucks. We need water so bad for years and then we...

A little tough to answer. We sell a lot of spinning. We sell mostly 1 and 2 power in SoCal. Light line rods. DX 741 SF has done well lately. We always sell a lot of 702 SF in all series. I'm making 6 new longer spinning models right now. If you get down to baits and line size I can help better. THX!!

SoCal has some of the toughest fishing in the country. A combination of not enough lakes, too many fishermen, clear water....all adds up to very high fishing pressure and very educated fish. This is why so many SoCal anglers are stud fishermen. They must learn every trick in the book, they have unbe...

We’ve received many questions about Shasta, particularly due to the Oroville concerns. The Oroville evacuation has been lifted to advisory and the lake has now dropped to 874 feet as I write this. It’s down 28 feet from when the problem was noticed and is forecasted to be at the 850 foot goal late F...

We’ve been getting a lot of questions about the Clear Lake team event on March 11th. As you may know, Clear Lake has stopped all power boats on the lake as of 2-14. We are still planning to have the event unless the lake is closed to boats. If it is closed, we will reschedule for a later date. If we...

There's a need for both casting and spinning. I couldn't imagine throwing a swimbait, A-Rig, heavy jig, Spinnerbait, and so on with spinning. I like to use a 5.1 or so gear ratio. It simply helps me fish the bait slower without having to concentrate to slow down!! I like fishing fast but with certain baits it's counter productive. Huds are one of these baits. Worst case, I wouldn't want to fish over a 6.1-6.3 gear ratio for Huds.
