Re: need help with trolling motor

unplug the foot pedal from the motor and take it to the sink and give it a good flushing. you might have a twig or something in it so that it wont make a contact. these foot pedals are water proof. if that doesn't take care of your problem i can give you some other things to pin point your problem. ...

i'd go the fortrexx all the way. it's rock solid and quite.
none of the play at the pivot points that the maxxum
gets over time. well worth the price diff.
and the us-2 is well worth it, no wires running out side
the shaft.

Re: Minn Kota Question

i hate to bust your bubble, but the break for Minnkota's on the
mounts is 48 inches. shortening the shaft makes the motor sit higher
on the mount. the 52" mount wont work on a shorter shaft.
I'd wait for 1 that will fit.

Re: Removing Motor From Maxxum Bow Mount?

it's best if you put a 1X2 in between the upper and lower arm. it's an over center lock and if it snaps down you will loose a finger. remove the lower arm first then lay the motor down the 2 bolts are 9/16, you should not have to beat out any of the bolts. this being an older motor you might have to...
