BASSTUD: Ive sat in and messed around with the bigger set-ups that are in the big flat bottom aluminum river boats. They are adjustable based on your weight and from what I hear work great. That is what got me thinking to start this thread as to why they havn't incorporated them into bass boats. Doi...

Redbull and Snickers is all you need. On a serious note as everyone has said it is super important to drink water. On the super hot days and for those going to fish US Open, I would suggest wearing a camel back so you have the water right there and its easy to get at. For those of you like myself wh...

Ya Andy that's part of what I was saying is lots ofpeople already have back problems and the constant jarring from riding in boats only makes it worse. Re: Suspension seats in bass boats
Ya I saw the Atwood seat when I was looking. There are lots of gifferent types of suspension seats or systems u can mount ur seat to. They are expensive to do as an aftermarket option but when ur buying a new boat it would be cost effective and something I think a lot of people would want.

Suspension seats in bass boats
Why don't any companies have suspension seats in their bass boats? I know it would require losing your under seat storage but with all the other storage in boats these days and the benefits of something like those seats you would think at least one company would try and have them. Not to mention it ...

Over the years it seems to me that I never catch fish whenever I'm fishing close to those raspberry/blackberry bushes that are on the delta. Fortunately it sounds like most of the snake encounters thus far have been gopher snakes but keep in mind especially if ur on a lake that rattle snakes DO swim and can/will climb into ur boat. Everyone has their favorite brand for their own reasons so that will be a tougher choice but as far as techniques, punching and frogging braid is a must, 65 or 80lb. I also use braid for all other topwater since its more of a reaction bite and fish won't be too tripped up if they see line. When the ...

Start with the small things first that you can check like loose wires on the motor, battery, kill switch etc. Then work...

Typically a crank bait rod is the same type of rod you'd use for jerkbaits. I have a 6'6" rod I used to use and find that a longer more well balanced rod is actually easier than the shorter rod. I'm only 5'9" so I know the feeling of the rod seeming too long but with a more balanced rod yo...

With the exception of topwater where I use all braid and my crank/spinnerbait setups whic are all fluoro I have evrything spooled with braid and then add a leader if/as needed. That makes my gear versatile for any body of water. Connect the leader to braid with uni uni knot.
