Its a luxury tax.

I’m sure Boatmasters in Livermore will do it if it’s a Mercury or Evinrude, but you may not like the price. I do know people that have purchased rebuilt engines from them at fair prices, though.

If you have a two stroke definitely oil. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve been running down the river and had my alarm go off only to find that I lost track of the low oil level in my oil injection tank.

You can check with Boatmasters, they may have what you need used. I recently got a good used tilt trim unit from them for my 2000 Triton for $500 that would have cost me $2k new.
