what transdeucer comes with the HDS 9 Gen 3. I jus bought the HDS 9 Gen 3 with structure scan trans and the 83/200khz but 83/200 khz looks a lot smaller than the 83/200 that came with my HDS 7 GEN 2 touch.

Is my Gen 2 touch trans better than the small one for the Gen 3 ????????

Lake is Open! They are only doing boat checks on the way out, the lake has the "Sooner or Later Muscle" jus like Pyramid and Castaic. Castaic just doesnt want to admit it!

Otherwise fishing is very slow at Piru unless you hit the G spot of the lake = Good spot.

Good info. I found out that some of today's big structure scan transduecers can cause big reductions on prop performance. So, if your having trouble with cavitation or something feels different it just might be where you mounted that transduecer on the back of your boat.

It is right on! Yeah vent holes are all plugged as far as washers I have a kit but it only works 2 ways so theres one piece that doesnt seem to work right even following the directions I guess because Im running the Merc prop not Yamaha.

Hole size for these gauges is 3 -1/4 " and the face size is about 3 1/2+
