THey have their moments to be sure. You can't win every tournament just throwing them but they can be tough to beat when that bite is going for those that are good with them. The great thing about Wal Mart batteries is that you can return them every 12 to 18 months and get a new battery. Keep your receipt and get an new battery every year,. no cost, no questions asked (so far anyway)

I have never had a problem with my Everstarts, and the fact that you can get them replaced at any Wal Mart with no questions asked is a bonus for me. Don,

I have the same plug on my trailer and I was not able to make it work with a standard 4 wire 4 flat wiring harness. I was able to find a new plug online though I will look for it again and post the link.

I love my Powell 734 for jigs. It also makes a good open water frog rod and spook rod.

As for Swimbait rods I own two Okumas, (7'6XH for Hudds and big rubber baits, 7'11H for smaller baits and wake baits) they are good rods for a great price made by a company that stands behind their product 100%

Its not what you want to hear but it is easier to just replace it. The first food saver I have stopped working and I looked into trying to get it fixed to no avail. If you need one to get you by till you buy another one let me know and you can barrow mine. It may cost you a duck though.

Its the closest lake to home so I fish it often. I like that the speed limit keeps the wake board boats and jet skis off the lake, but hate idling to my spots. 25MPH seems to make more sense, I doubt that will happen though.

I use the Coppertone Sport SPF 50 in the spray. I apply in the morning before I leave the house and am fine for the whole day. I keep a tube of the rub-on stuff in my boat in case I need to re-apply during the day, but I never have needed it.

I caught a bunch of jig fish yesterday and if I can catch jig fish on the delta then anyone can. Brown and purple was the color I used. I caught them off rocks banks, but most of my fish came off tulles islands with deep water (8-15 ft) right up against them.

So I launched at Kings Island, and payed the 8 bucks in the box. It was a hassle to get the boat out and straight, but I did it. I have to get wet regardless with my boat so it was not a big deal. Quite a busy little ramp on a Thursday.

Folsom. Been fishing as much as I can out there, I have found some fish but usually I struggle.

Melones is a great lake. If you get into the Red Eyes you need to move RIGHT AWAY! There are some pigs in that lake as well as good numbers of solid spotted bass.
