Re: Hook Torunaments

Sounds great Gene! After attending them for the first time last year I can say that this is a great event series which is a welcome laid back style tournament to keep up the skills without the overly wound up regular season. That said bring your A game there are surprisingly big bags brought in even...

Like Gene said, and if ANYONE would know its Gene, I would avoid electric for the delta especially to slow unless you have special circumstances like mclovin. That said my advice and what I TRY to do when fishing with kids is find some fish on the electronics and then just slow way down and sit when...

There's Kayak clubs all over as well. Search them out and ask where those guys are fishing/tournaments. For a bunch of guys that are extremely secretive about where "their fish" are I'm always amazed at how helpful they are.

Nose cone by paycheck baits. Bub has a couple web clips/youtube videos floating around if you google them, I believe one was on WB a week or 2 ago. Quality so you're not just replacing it later is important as well as all around usefulness. Meaning you can use it with a variety of techniques. Honestly for the price I would probably go with the abu veritas 2.0, I have one for a frog rod and have never had any complaints. Its pulled 1#'ers to 7#'...
