spare tire on the truck completely out and it was low...By feel, you might have thought it was good but the gauge said otherwise...And, I had a lock that was on the spare tire system and I learned how that works today too... They hit the Walgreens in Pittsburg last week... It was a take-over robbery with four masked men...Around a dozen or so shoppers robbed too...Carry only needed cards on you and as little cash as needed, you never know when things might go bad...

Just read a great article over at sfgate.com (Chronicle) by Tom Stienstra and he mentioned always having a supply of red stick-on eyes for his trout lures...Great tip, probably wouldn't hurt to put some on those chatterbait blades...

The reason I asked is I wonder if Kevin VanDam's principle of matching the color of the bait to the color of the bass's surroundings applies?...Lot's of green pumpkin and watermelon color out there in the delta...And avocado colors too!

This fish could have been weighed but both these guys were smart enough to know that if they walked it a ways to where there was a scale known to be, they both believed it would die...Good thinking on their part...They didn't even lift it out of the water to measure it... 14 lb'er of yours?...I know an old man that saw a guy catch one that they measured out at 29 inches and let it go because they had no scale...Had a large girth he said, but didn't measure that part of the fish...Any guess what it weighed so I could give the old guy a guestimate?...

The rattlesnakes are starting to move around out there so be aware of your surroundings when walking the banks fishing out there...Last one seen was only about a foot long...

Buy your permits to fish out there too...People have been sited out there for not having payed to get in...
