I would think that between cloud seeding and mother nature due to the fact the Santa Ynez river is giving all of it's runoff to it that it will spill.
Re: Rain
Intellicast for Lakeport shows a lot of rain Saturday and next week is off the hook rain daily mostly...very good start as we weren't supposed to get much until the March time frame according to the experts. Re: Where is there a DECENT bass bite?
Good point....Herons and egrets are very valuable tools for finding fish. Often times I know which way the bait school is swimming or are even alerted to their presence by these birds. The egrets will be leap frogging down the bank staying on the shad. As there aren't many shad right now on the bank...

What do you do when they don't eat at first light? I think a lot of fisherman evolve their aspirations when it comes to fishing. Most start by wanting to catch a fish. That evolves into I want to catch a limit. Then maybe you become a tournament fisherman and if not maybe a trophy fisherman. I perso...

Let me start this by thanking all of the nutcase's that not only read this post but came back for more on the long read. Re: Edge Rods
It's okay to resurrect this one. :D I did get a Silver Widow to add to the BlackWidow dropshot rod. I do believe there is some kind of electrical thing going on with it as when you get bit on it. It feels like you've been crushed. The vapor deposition of nickle to the handle must create this feeling...

Absolutlutely PD. It was Bob Measly that showed me the light back in 88'. He and Doug Chessmore would have beat everyone in an early January Western Bass Tournament with the 3/8 Kastmaster. I had the opportunity to do a little late fall/early winter fishing with a new friend last week in his sweet Ranger. It never fails to surprise me at the power of a spoon to ignite a bite.
