I own each type and like them all...Yes, they are appropriate for all types of bass fishing techniques. You should borrow or at least cast with each type to get a feel for your preference. Your hand size may determine how well the reel works for any given technique...for example, I like a low profil...

I agree with Cooch...I have been hooked badly by a good sized Rattletrap fish that was lightly hooked. I have also had the bait come out in the net and rehook the fish in the side, which would raise some eyebrows at weigh-in. All in all, dumb rule IMO...

I really like the Picasso heads...especially the 3/32 size shakedown...it's got a nice big gammie hook and depending on what plastic you choose, falls real slow down thru branches and stickups :wink:

Do you need special tools to make that connection? Does the length of cable affect the accuracy? Could it be shortened to the required length only? It just seems scary to cut into that cable... :shock:

Good point...but I have a Coral 202 fish-n-ski with a removable TM bracket. That would be cumbersome to unplug and coil cable just to stow the TM...besides, it looks really clean and I won't destroy it in the rocks (like I have in the past) :lol:

Yeah, thats what I'm thinkin...I've seen similar screen defects on some of those card readers you swipe the credit card thru at the store...same technology and they don't have transducers!

I have a 98 Coral with a 225efi merc turning a small hub 24p trophy. It will run 5600 with a light load right around 70. It sounds like you are way low...what kind of jackplate do you have? It is not hard to adjust to a degree on the water.

Yeah, it is subjective...but what I'm asking is what do you prefer and why do you like it? Is a faster action better for this technique?
It would seem to me that action would be better than what I use now, but I have used quite a few different rods and haven't quite found what I'm looking for.
