If none of the above work, I had a buddy that had the same thing happen and ended up driving his boat to a nearby place that had a forklift and had the guy hook up the pole and lift it out.. if nothing else works..

Hey D, A few things.. As suggested, I would contact Optima to see if there is anything at all they can do to warranty the battery for you. The Blue Top has a 2 year warranty, but usually you will have to have the original receipt of purchase, which I know you don't have... but a phone call would not...

I agree on the setting.. 720 provides great video and is MUCH easier to work with on your computer. If you record in the 1080 you will need a fast computer processor to keep up with the playback... the 720 will be totally fine.

I use a 32 gig... think it's a sandisk... Regardless of brand, you will want to make sure it's a class 10 card or you will not be able to record at certain settings... Your camera will take up to a 64 gig card I think... but I recommend to get 2 32's or 2 16's... just incase something happens to one...

Not sure if it's still there, but keep an eye out for a hazard that is between the house on the corner at false river and the tullie island across from it. I think there should be a light on it, but one morning I ran about 15 feet from it in the dark and did not see it until I was passing it and alt...
