Re: O-rings for the 7" senco??

Try this. Go to home depot or lowes. Buy shrink wrap tubing for the size of the senko, cut it about 1/8" section. Slide over the Senko, shrink it with a lighter and put your hook in perpendicualar to the senko. The hook stays perfect and the shrink wrap is strong so you do not lose as many senk...

Re: How to be sure?

Albright hands down. 99% of the time the knot at the hook will break when using this knot if you learn how to tie it properly. Here is the link http://www.netknots.com/html/albright_special.html . I have been tying this knot with all kinds of braided line for Tuna, all the way down to trout. You jus...

Re: wood or plastic punkers

I won't argue with success. Over 100 stripers on topwater to 20#, 15 plus blacks to 7.5# and still going. Well Barely. Wood, trout, Punker. And you have to change the hooks and split rings on these lures or say goodbye to the big boys. I don't know why for $50 they can't put some good hooks and ring...

Re: Dobyns Savvy Rods...

I would have to agree that $60 is steep for a replacement rod. I think most brands are less and I just paid $40 for a powell rod to have that replaced for someone that broke it. As far as shipping goes, there should be less markup when dropped off to a dealer as the dealer that carries the rods can ...

Re: Wacky Senkos keep falling off....

Shrink wrap for sure, run the hook point perpenciular to the bait and pin it twice. Once in and out. It is almost snagproof in heavy cover as the hook is perpendicular to the worm and it seems to wiggle its way through the toolies and weeds. I had to throw my senko away yesterday as it was burned ou...

Re: Folsom Lake

Stopped by tonight and the ramp is open but launch at your own risk as per parks and rec. I saw three bass boats pull out and a small pontoon deck, patio boat as well. Looked to be no problem. There is a dock to tie your boat off to and I guess some fish were caught. Post how you did. Good luck.

Re: is it ok to test drive a boat before buying?

I just bought a new to me, used 2000 520vx Ranger. Mike Van Wagner was very instrumental in helping me look at a bunch of used boats and giving me his thoughts on all of them. Even when he knew I could not afford a new boat at this time. He went over the diagnostics with Phil his mechanic and let me...

Re: Wanted Ranger 520

Unless you get a CRAZY DEAL, I would wait another 6 months. Our economy will be at its knees (not that it isn't already) by than and you can will see boats selling for half their value or more. It is hard enough to sell your boat in a good economy. The only problem you may run into is that people o...
