Re: Eye-Opening Read...

Great read! And if you factor in two kids in college, and another still at home, it's a backbreaker. I don't see how anyone who isn't fully sponsored in some way can afford to compete on the national level. Takahiro may be the last guy to sleep in his truck and make the tour. Once again, I think ESP...

Re: My Honeymoon

Let us know where you fish, and what you catch. I taught myself to fly fish in Yosemite, and fished Toulemne Meadows, Tenaya Lake, and the lakes above Tenaya Peak, May Lake, and the Gaylor Lakes. Tenaya Lake is a day stop only now, but it is a jewel. The scenery alone is worth the price of admission...

Brian, I think you're dead on about keeping the ladded. At Cachuma two weeks ago, two of our club members pulled up to the SS Relief in Johnson Cove. ECL, I think that's the point that most of us out here feel gets lost in all the back slapping the southeast guys do. They generally pick low hanging fruit. Flouro/braid knot

Try the Albright knot to tie on a flouro leader. It's strong, and thin, so it doesn't stick in the guides when you're pitching or casting. If you use Seagar flouro, which is stiffer, be sure to pull the knot down evenly, and use some fishing glue on it. Seagar is so smooth it is hard for the braid t...

Topwater Terry re:Castaic night fishing

Terry,
I plan to fish Castiac Saturday, and then stay for the night fishing.
How do I go about it? Do I have to get back in line? Which ramp is the night fishing going out of, the main ramp again?
How much does it cost? What time do I have to be in line for the night fishing?

I was asked by someone in the Sacramento office of the Dept. of Water Resources if there was a silting problem at Pyramid, specifically next to the Sheriff's dock. I haven't been up there all summer.

Maybe this is old news to most of you, but it was news to me. He then bent over and clamped the lead...
