I called Tiki once before about this and the girl that answered was clueless to what I was talking about. Tiki Lagun claims to have the least expensive gas on the Delta and I believe it. Gas there is only slightly more expensive than at your local gas station and sometimes even less expensive.

Great looking boat and you are dealing with the right guys at Boatmasters. They understand that fishermen need their boats and they bend over backwards to get you on the water pronto, especially if you're a tournament angler.

I just realized that with the addition of MLF that will allow lower level tournament anglers to move up in the ranks and achieve their dreams. My guess is some guys move from FLW into the Elite circuit and other guys move up into FLW. I can see a guy like Bryan Thrift become even more dominant in FL...

My outboard mechanic told me that as gas constantly changes, it causes our outboards to run hotter and hotter. He says to me to do my part and run the highest octane fuel I can because it burns cooler.

Bottom line for a fun day on the water with no tournament involved, if you're a guest offer to bring something like lunch and/or drinks or share the cost of expenses if you want to be invited back again. If you're a boater and have any expectations make sure they are known prior to going out.

for those that don't already know the tide basically repeats itself every two weeks, plus or minus an hour or so. When I first started fishing the Delta over 30 years ago there were hardly any weeds and I remember catching some 13" fish that weighed 3/4 of a pound. They were rails!

I agree with most everything I’m reading here. Whenever I get down in the dumps because the Dirty D isn’t as good as it used to be I remind myself that a tough day on the Delta is three keepers and five dinks, while a tough day on a lake is no bites!
