be careful about the staying on top in rough water theory !!! i had a buddy that believed that and we we goin 40mph in 5 ft or so chop and then bam....one was 6ft or more came over the bow, broke his fish/ski dual windshield and then we found ourselves 70degress almost perpendicular to the water!!!!...

i tried some canopy fishin near paradise. 1st hookup the fish pracdtically hit it as it pucnched thru the slop. i waited a few seconds before setting the hook and bam...line broke i only had 12lb flouro so i learned 1st hand why the higher # test is needed. caught several more before dark and luckil...

maximum trolling motor shaft length
:?: does anyone know if you can purchase or increase the shaft lenght on trolling motors? I have a deep V family boat that I want to put on the trolilng motor on the bow but 60in (minnkota) and 56in (motor guide) are a little too short. it would be nice to do a litle bass fishin when not towing kids...

i have used yamaha "ring free" in my 200efi and 115 mariner (merc)
its a needed product for long trouble free operation from my experience.

when just starting out 1st thing in the morning, all seems ok. I bought a boat w/ 200hp yamaha and wanted to remove the prop and replace with one with a different pitch
the problem is that there is a mc gard prop nut lock on it so i can't get a standard wrench on there. previous owner does not have the key.
where do i go from here?
