Re: Long Pauses for Jerkbaits
https://sdfish.com/forums/attachments/image-jpeg.82063/ yeah, two weeks ago I couldn't get them to eat the frog anymore down here, so went jerkbait. Not too good at it, but got a new PB in numbers after 2/3rds of a day, 57. But got it down pretty good, and landed 70 last week, upping the PB by quit...

I've been using the 6'8 ML Recon 683 with a Curado 70 and it is great for smaller jerkbaits like you mentioned. Everything up to a Vision 110 is great and the length is just right.

I made another trip out Friday to try for some December bass. That may not seem difficult to do if you live in California, but in my area of Washington, it is a rarity. Some years the lakes are frozen and people are already standing on the ice fishing in December, but not this year. They are still b...

Yesterday I posted about my struggles on my last trip out. 41-degree water and zero bass. Since my buddy Yah-Tsheng Moua has been catching them, I decided to ask him to go with me. What a difference between the two trips. The water actually got colder, the air was 33-degrees when we launched and sno...

Yesterday I made it out to the lake and was greeted with 40.6-degree water temperature when I launched the boat. That made it very difficult for me to find any bass, but some people I know are still catching them...and big ones! The surprising thing is how shallow they are fishing and having success...

Gotta love the blade bait. I was introduced to it about 3 years ago on the Potomac. It's killer in the dead of the winter for bass. We used it a little on Berryessa the other day and my son caught a 3-4 lb largemouth out of 50 feet. Also hammered on the striper in the Delta with it last week in 20 ...

We've had a nice break in the weather this week and actually had a record high for Thanksgiving. Temps in the low 50's in late November is a rarity in Spokane so of course, I had to go fishing. The water is still cold, mid 40s, so the blade bait has been the best performer lately. We also caught a f...

The Tatsu has a softer outer core, not the other way around as suggested in the video. Correct.
