Thanks. I'll check out the Scout.
I have to admit, I was intrigued by the video connection deal, but, with my luck with electronics, I think I'll just "keep it simple, stupid".

Sensei,
That camera looks like the way to go. Dammit, my email is goofed up and I can't log on to eBay. I hope I can get it straightened out in time. That camera looks perfect.
Thanks again.

Underwater Camera
I want to get an underwater camera for my boat, so my ten year old can have fun when she's not catching fish. I know it's just a trick to get her hooked, but, what the heck, that's my job. BPS has an Aqua ViewXPS60 on sale for $280. It has a 60' cable, temp sensor. Is this a good unit? Should I spen...

Just shows that T.V. will put anything on to make ratings. ESPN looks like it's willing to sacrifice one of their "stars" just to make their show more "interesting". They think like T.V. people, that everyone want to see a car crash. I hope the PAA gets together with BASS, and fo...

Tough for BASS that the "left coast" rules, at least for now.
As for not endorsing beer, I'll drink to that. I personally never put alcohol in my boat. Leans out the mix too much.

I didn't see Ike and his tantrum, but Tom is right. Why did it air so much? For the same reason ESPN is killing BASS. Ratings. Face it, the networks would put "eating our own children" on as a nightly show if it would get ratings. Ike's behaviour and it's consequences for his career will p...

Is there a way to spot clean a Gortex rainsuit, instead of having to wash the whole thing? My jacket is clean, but I got some attractant on one sleeve, and I don't want to have to wash it and retreat if I can help it.

He suonds like a lot of young atheletes who have big success early. They don't know how to handle it yet. If it hadn't been for the way BASS and Disney/ESPN have been pushing him as a poster boy for the "new" BASS, I would find it easy to just write this off as a learning experience. But I...

What's really scary is that when they move, if they don't reregister in their new neighborhood, no one know where they are. They may be violating their parols, but those people don't really care about minor stuff like that. We probably should be grateful for the ones that do register. As a parent, i...

I just thought that, since Floridas are generally in lakes that don't get as cold, and Northerns are generally in colder lakes, maybe the shad dieoff is more pronounced in the Northern ranges, and so they turn to crawdads more readily. I'm thinking of Pyramid, too, which has always been a good jig l...
