Re: Trinity Lake Help?
I havefished there a few times, mostly earlier in the year (April, May, June)..I have done well with R2S Bottom Walkers, but I am sure other swimbaits will work also..Darterheading Smallie Beavers can also put a few in the boat..I haven't done that well with crankbaits, or top waters, but I would th...

The absolute three best ramps for ease of launching and recovery are Ladds in Stockton, Brannon Isle, and Orwood..Now that is not to say any of the other launch ramps are not good or that their service is bad..They most certainly are not..Russo's is also excellent, although you can only launch two b...

Re: Does color matter?
Actually it isn't so much that color isn't or can't be important, but of all the things we as fishermen/women can control, color selection is the least important.. I once was told by a fellow angler that the only color they were biting on was watermelon w/redflake..I asked if he had tried other colo...

I have tried numerous hooks and hook styles fir t-rigging Senkos, I use Mend-It a lot..Each of your recommendations helps save the Senkos, but even then you will still go through more Senkos t-tigging than you will wacky rigging..For sure Senkos are one of if not the best bait ever..

Guy, I fish it wacky rigged most of the time, for the simple reason I get a lot more use out of a single Senko..There have been several days when I have used the same Senko all day and caught multiple fish with it..When I do use a t-rigged one, once it has been pretty much used up, I put it away to ...

Skeeterman nailed it,if it has bass in the name,it is the fish to catch..I will also say when a spot hits, you have no idea how large or small it is until you actually see it..The first time I hooked a spot, I was sure it was over 4, that is until I finally saw it and it was closer to 1.5..

Bass are opportunistic feeders..I don't think turtles are one of their primary forasge foods, but I do not doubt they will devour them at times..I would think a three to four inch turtle in the right area might just get eaten..Someone once posted a picture of a bass that obviously had a turtle in it...

Guy, I normally use Trilene 100% Flourocarbon, usually 6 or 8 pound test for my finesse rigs..As for the line springing off the spool when the bail is opened, I have found that if I do not overload the spool it doesn't happen..
