Hi Dan, Steve Babbage (of Hook Adventure Travel) is one of the foremost authorities when it comes to bass fishing in Mexico. He's also a sponsor of the Folsom Bass League and anglers fishing our circuit were able to win a couple of guided trips to El Salto thanks to him. In your quest for informatio...

For what its worth, I heard that the bite at Folsom is fairly good right now. BUT, if I were wanting to fish jigs, I would head for the Delta or maybe Berryessa. The Delta was good for the first few hours last Saturday, then the bite died (at least for us).

According to the Marina Website, there are two ramps open at this time. Two lanes at Granite Bay, and three lanes at the Hobie Cove.
Click here http://www.folsomlakemarina.com/ for up-to-date information and photos of the launch ramps.

Actually John, I think its a pretty good idea (perhaps I'm alone on that one ).
Skip the mid-day heat, get a little rest in...take advantage of the afternoon/evening bite (which is the best time to fish CL in my opinion).
Anyway, just my .02 worth. The Rally will be great either way.
