Re: A very nice lake!
I can comment on the lake. I have fished it off and on for about 20 years and guide on the lake when someone wants to try a different lake. It was a smallmouth - largemouth lake until recently when spotted bass have found their way into the lake, as they always seem to do. A 7 lb 3 oz smallmouth wa...

Re: Frog Fishing
I'm using pretty much the same setup as you--Powell Frog Rod with a Phat Frog (hooks bent slightly outward). No problem walking it, it's just on the cast where it comes back and hooks the line. 20lb leader solves that problem, but not crazy about 20lb leader tied to 65lb braid. As a side note: I em...

I know we are in a day and age where everything is almost always replicated, however upon viewing the bassmaster site icast 2017 product i came accross this jig that looks strangely close to a local favorite made by none other than Cooch. The 766 Flip is my personal Flipping rod choice. It has enough tip for pitching smaller baits but has plenty of power for any type of punching. It's a great flippin stick. I would not use for frog rod or jig rod. We have far better choices for these techniques. The 766 is a great flippin stick but ...

Re: "Delta" craw colored chatterbait
just buy some chatters in brown, pumpkin, or black and put a red trailer on it that works or buy the bait dye in blood red, also the blade runner wobble head jig works i paint the head black in that color and sometimes rip the weed guard out but that bait works. theres many options out there.
