The frequency is based on how your reels are performing. If they begin to feel sluggish or you notice that you are loosing casting distance then it's time to relubricate. You can also try Speed Traps and 1/4 ounce jigs with curly tail grubs along the rip rap in Sutter Slough or along the rip rap on the Sacramento between Steamboat Slough and Walnut Grove. Lots of dinks!!!

barse41, Try some Xtreme Reel+. All you do is shake the bottle, squirt it on all internal and external moving parts (other than the drag) and spin the handle a few times.
