Calcutta 400B, Calcutta 300D or 400D, Curado 300E. It all depends on the size of the swimbaits you plan to use.

You can swap the gear set in the Core 101 with gears from the Chronarch 101D7. This will make the reel 7:1.

They fish different because of the line capacity and weight of the spool. The Curado is a 200 size reel so the spool is a little heavier but it holds more line. Its still casts well but not like the Chronarch.

Unfortunately the 4000 size knob will not work on the smaller 2500 handle. The post is much longer on the 4000. The 4000 handle will not work on the 2500 due to a different thread size. Spare spools can be ordered here:

I would need to know what year this model was made. Japan uses year models and not letter designations like we do. This could compare to the Curado E or B depending on when it was made.

We just released the Metanium and Antares models for the US. We will have parts for those models. We will not be stocking parts for all JDM reels. Some already cross over with current US models.

The Caius does not have VBS, it uses a magnetic cast control. It also has a few less bearings. The Caenan is still the nicer model when compared to the Caius.

The rod designer wanted to use a minimal grip. This part of the grip is not really used by most people so he chose to eliminate it.

The DC does cast better and has more cranking power. In my opinion, yes it is worth the difference in price.

Its hard to describe the color. They are a maroon type color with more red in it. They look better in person.

They are pretty much the same reel. I am not sure if we will see the 8:1 model here. The ultra high gear ratio reels do not have much cranking power. We may have addressed that in Japan with some changes to the gear designs. I just dont know if we will see it here.
