Re: Curado 200DHSV main gear size
This gear will not fit in the 400. The pinion gear and main gear are different sizes and they will not line up correctly within the space set in the frame. If you want a faster reel look at the Curado 300 with a 6.2:1 gear ratio. It also has a large main gear like this (actually even larger) and it ...

Shimano Online maintenance guide
I might have posted this before Shimano had our own board here. This has some valuble information as far as showing the way we service our reels. It has step by step pictures with directions for low profile, spinning, round, conventional and two speed reels. http://fish.shimano.com/publish/content/f...

Re: Curado 200DHSV main gear size
The main gear in the Curado 200DHSV has a much larger diameter. It is very close to the main gear diameter of the CTE300/400. Here is a picture showing the difference in size between the Curado 200B model (right) and the new Curado 200DHSV (left) http://i159.photobucket.com/albums/t139/shimano2007/C...

Re: Welcome to the new Shimano Product Support Board!
Unfortunately due to the increased size of the 7:1 gear set it will not fit the Chronarch series reels.

Re: Welcome to the new Shimano Product Support Board!
No the new Citica is not the same as the Curado B series reel. The new Citica, Curado and Cruxis reels share the same body design.
The Citica 100D does share the same body design as the Curado 100B and the new Curado 100D models.

Re: '07 Curado 200 DHSV
It sounds like you could have an issue with the anti reverse bearing. There can be a little back play but not as much as you are describing. I can send you a new anti reverse bearing if you feel confident that you can replace it. Here is a link to our online maintenance guide http://fish.shimano.com...

Re: citca reels?
The Citica 100D is the same body design as the previous Curado 100B. The 200D model is a new body design (same as Curado D) and does not share any parts with the old Curado 200B model.

Re: Bay Game 301F
The Bay Game is a Japanese model reel that is not available in the US. I do not know much about it as the catalog I have is in Japanese. I will advise you to stay away from the Japanese model reels as we do not cover them under our warranty and we do not stock parts for them.

Re: Shimano Symetre 2500RI???
The dealer should exchange the reel for you. If not send me an IM and I will get the reel repaired or replaced for you.

Re: Shimano Symetre 2500RI???
If the spool is not locked into the spool shaft all the way then that will cause your problem. If the spool is not oscillating (moving up and down) then return the reel to the dealer for exchange. If they give you a hard time then shoot me a PM and I will let you know what to do. B1 (Dan) Shimano Am...

Re: Lake Mission Viejo - question
You have to provide proof of insurance for the boat. They will also need to inspect the boat and provide you with a sticker. Check with the lake office or the website for all the rules. I know that you need extra insurance coverage for boats on that lake.

Re: Curado Recall?
Gentlemen, I work for Shimano and I felt that this needed a reply from us. There is no recall or spool problems with the Curado D series. I can only speculate that the salesman saw a spool spread from winding line on too tight with the line winder machine. We have not seen a single issue with the sp...
