Could be a crack in the fuel lines allowing air and loosing prime. I'd replace the fuel line and primer bulb to start. Also could be a bad coil.

Re: New to bass fishing and need some guidance.
The best thing for you to do by far is join a local Bass Club. Tell the members you are new and more than likely one or more will take you under their wing and teach you. Fish the Club tourneys and watch and learn. Be ready to contribute for gas and launch and you will get invited to fish again. OPE...

Re: line storage question
I've always kept mine in a sealed plastic box like Tupperware. It's lasted for years. I usually buy the larger 2-3k yard spools. Keep it out of the heat and direct sunlight. I store it in my home so it stays at a fairly constant temp. I keep filler spools on hand to take in the boat when I go.

Gary, I think it's mainly the cost to fish that's affecting the numbers. Entry fees, fuel, motel, food, etc. I would think the best way now for most is the local club tourneys. Less travel and lower entry fees. JMHO

Re: Front Fish Finder Help
Some of the older Lowrance Finders needed a min of 12.2 volts to operate. If it dropped below they would shut off or not turn on at all. They had to be wired directly to the battery and not just at a hot spot in the circuit. This is always the best way to connect them anyway. As for getting a new on...

You'll love the Ranger 520, but do some testing on the motor and batteries. Adjust the price for any discrepancies and deal with the cosmetics with the seller. Remember, it s a USED boat not a NEW one. If all proves good and you are HAPPY with the boat and the price then go for it. It just may be th...

Hey Mac, sorry to hear about the rod, however you do have some options. Just a little info for those who see a snake and are worried if they are poisoness, the easiest way to tell is the shape of the head. If it is shaped like an arrowhead, bad deal. A smooth shape is not poisoness, unless it's a viper, but those are not found in this area. (I've been told) Either way, ...

Re: When to replace trolling motor batteries
Sounds more like it's the TM not the batterys. Test the voltage at the plug and then check your connections on the plug itself. It may be corroded or even a broken wire. If those are good, try the TM with other batterys to make sure it is running. You can take your batterys to O'Rilley Auto Parts an...
